Throughout your stay you will have the opportunity to grab groceries, personal care items, and souvenirs. We will make a stop at the local grocery store within 15 minutes of your arrival in Golfito to meet any immediate needs. There is also a small “Tourist store” in town for items to take home.

I am flying into San Jose a day early. Can you recommend a hotel for me?

I have special dietary needs, can you accommodate them?
Probably, but you should contact me privately so we can discuss your specific needs.

Do I need special shots to go to Costa Rica?
Nope.
Which meals are covered?
When you stay with us, we make sure you are well fed! Once you land in Golfito, the vast majority of your meals are covered. The only meals that aren’t covered are one dinner (usually pizza night), and another lunch pre-determined during your stay (something fun). You will have lots of chances to buy your personal snacks, and you’ll have a refrigerator in your room to store them.
My friend and I want to room together, is that possible?
Yes! Of course! Please let me know before arrival.

I don’t want to room with anyone, can I have a room to myself?
As long as the resort has the space, and you don’t mind paying for the private room upgrade, I am sure we can work it out. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.
What is the nightlife like in Pavones?
Pavones is an early morning place. Once the sun goes down- the town is pretty much closed. Quiet hours at the resort start at 8 pm.

Should I buy travel insurance?
Life is full of surprises, some exciting, and some less so. For the ultimate peace of mind, we recommend choosing our partners at Soventure. Soventure offers peace of mind when you travel, and we it is super easy to purchase through their website.

We’re all about good vibes and a little celebration on your getaway! Plus, each room has a handy mini-fridge to keep your drinks chilled! All we ask is that you enjoy responsibly, stay respectful at the resort, and keep the pool area glass-free for everyone’s safety. Cheers to an amazing adventure!
How much cash should I bring?
No need to stress about swapping your dollars for Costa Rican colones, dollars work perfectly here! Our local grocery stores and restaurants happily accept credit cards, but there are always small vendors with their wares along our way. To make the most of your adventure, bring enough cash for those delightful little purchases and tips along the way, also if you decide to have the resort do a load of laundry for you, that needs to be paid in cash, and we do advise bringing cash for end of stay tips for the resort staff, but overall you won’t need more than $100-$150 cash for the duration of your stay
Heads up! There’s no ATM in Pavones, so be sure to come prepared. Small bills are your best travel companions here; anything over a $20 can be tricky to break.
What is your cancellation policy?
No one wants to cancel on an event like this, however, we understand that things happen. Once a deposit is paid, it is non-refundable. After the deposit is paid, the balance is due 30 days prior to arrival and is also non-refundable unless we fill your spot, in which case we will issue you a refund for the final balance.
